Tie-Breaker Rule: दो Candidates के CGCAT में बराबर Marks होने पर Screening Test में अधिक अंक पाने वाले को वरीयता मिलती है। अभी भी बराबरी रहने पर अधिक आयु वाले Candidate को Merit में ऊपर रखा जाता है।

Stage 2: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)

CGCAT Stage 1 में Shortlist होने वाले Candidates को PSB के लिए Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata और Noida स्थित Coast Guard Selection Boards पर बुलाया जाता है। यह Stage Qualifying प्रकृति का है।

Computerised Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT): Cognitive Abilities और Mental Aptitude की जांच। यह Test English में होता है।
Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT): एक Picture दिखाई जाती है। Candidate उस पर Story लिखते हैं। उसके बाद Group Discussion होती है। इससे Leadership, Communication और Team Skills की जांच होती है।

PSB में Recommended या Not Recommended का निर्णय होता है। PSB Marks Final Merit में नहीं जोड़े जाते।

Stage 3: Final Selection Board (FSB)

FSB Coast Guard का सबसे कठिन Selection Stage है जो 4 से 5 दिनों तक चलता है। इस Stage के Marks Final Merit List में जोड़े जाते हैं।

Psychological Test: Personality Traits, Leadership Potential और Mental Stability की जांच।
Group Tasks (Indoor और Outdoor): Half Group Task, Group Planning Exercise, Progressive Group Task, Command Task और Individual Obstacles शामिल हैं।
Lecturette: किसी Topic पर 3 मिनट का Speech देना होता है।
Personal Interview Board: Assessors Officers के सामने Personality और Knowledge की जांच।

Stage 4: Medical Examination

FSB Recommended Candidates की Detailed Medical Examination Base Hospital New Delhi में होती है।
