Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana (MKUY) Bihar सरकार की वह scheme है जो बेटी के जन्म से लेकर Graduation तक कुल ₹94,100 की आर्थिक सहायता सीधे Bank Account में DBT के ज़रिए देती है। Graduation complete करने पर ₹50,000 और 12th में 1st Division लाने पर ₹25,000 मिलते हैं। Apply करना पूरी तरह free है। Official portal medhasoft.bih.nic.in है। कोई income limit नहीं है और Bihar की सभी category की बेटियाँ eligible हैं।

Bihar के मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने इस Bihar बालिका कल्याण scheme को 2018 में launch किया था। तब से लगभग 1.5 करोड़ बेटियाँ इसका benefit ले चुकी हैं। एक बड़े ₹271 करोड़ के disbursement में Bihar सरकार ने 85,556 beneficiaries को ₹16 करोड़ DBT से transfer किए। Education Department, Health Department और Social Welfare Department तीनों मिलकर इस scheme के अलग-अलग components चलाते हैं।

Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana के तीन मुख्य Components

MKUY तीन अलग-अलग components में चलती है जो एक बेटी के जीवन के तीन stages को cover करती है। हर component का managing department और application process अलग है।

Graduation scholarship की ₹50,000 की राशि single lump sum के रूप में DBT के ज़रिए directly student के अपने Bank Account में transfer होती है। यह account student के नाम पर होना चाहिए, parent के नाम पर नहीं। Account Aadhaar number से linked होना भी ज़रूरी है।

Bihar की सभी caste और income group की बेटियाँ MKUY के लिए eligible हैं, लेकिन Graduation component के लिए कुछ specific conditions पहले से जान लें।

• Student Bihar की permanent resident होनी चाहिए
• Bihar की किसी recognised University से Graduation pass होना ज़रूरी है
